We always ensure that what can be recycled is recycled, with the rest taken to a licensed disposal facility.
Vale Waste Neath is a registered upper tier waste carrier, broker and dealer with Natural Resources Wales, registration CBDU______. Anyone who carries other people's waste in Wales must hold this registration, and you are legally responsible for your waste until it reaches an authorised site, so it is worth checking whoever you use.
Every collection comes with a waste transfer note or receipt showing what was taken and where it went. Businesses must keep theirs for two years under the duty of care; householders simply have the reassurance of knowing where their waste ended up.
Recycling is separated first on every job. Metals, timber, card and textiles are kept apart and sent on for reprocessing; mixed residual waste goes to a licensed disposal facility. Fridges and freezers are sent to an approved authorised treatment facility where the refrigerant is removed safely, mattresses are collected separately, and upholstered seating travels on its own as the rules on persistent organic pollutants require.
Hazardous waste such as asbestos, paint, oils and liquids cannot travel on our vehicles; the office will point you to the compliant specialist route.
The yard sits on the Earlswood Estate at Jersey Marine, off the A483 Fabian Way between Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea, beside junction 42 of the M4. Five vehicles run from here six days a week: vans for man and van clearances, tippers for heavier loads, and the skip and bin rounds.
