Shops, cafes, offices, workshops and service yards take the 660 litre and 1100 litre wheelie bins on a commercial bin collection round that matches how fast the waste builds up. Every collection comes with the waste transfer note a business must keep for two years under its duty of care.
Since April 2024 every workplace in Wales must present paper and card, glass, metal, plastic and cartons, food waste over five kilograms a week, small electricals and unsold textiles separately from general waste, and separated recyclables cannot lawfully go to landfill or incineration. Pairing a general waste bin with dedicated cardboard and glass bins is the simplest way to comply.
Households usually take the 240 litre bin, emptied on a private wheelie bin collection round when the council service is not enough: a house in multiple occupation, a holiday let with changeover-day waste, a family that regularly runs over, or a property between tenancies. One-off empties are welcome too.
Many sites pair a general bin with a separate cardboard or glass bin, and the round is quoted as one. Recyclables kept separate at the bin stay separate on the vehicle, which is what the Workplace Recycling Regulations require and what keeps your general waste bin from filling up with card.
Rounds run until you stop them; one-off hires and empties are welcome without commitment. The price is quoted to bin size, frequency and address and confirmed inc VAT before the first collection, and if you need to change the day or the size later the office sorts it on a call.
Bin rounds run alongside the clearance vehicles from our yard at Jersey Marine, so Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea are collected on regular days and a missed bin never waits long for a follow-up. Bridgend and the valleys are quoted to the round in the same way.
