Fridge freezer and appliance removal across Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea: washing machines, cookers, dishwashers and fridges collected from the kitchen they sit in. A domestic fridge or fridge freezer is £40; additional fridges are £36 each, inc VAT.
Fridges and freezers are sent to an approved authorised treatment facility where the refrigerant gases are removed safely; the metal in every appliance is largely recovered.
Fridges cannot go in skips; they ride the van to an approved authorised treatment facility for safe degassing and recovery.

Fridges and freezers contain refrigerant gases and insulating foam that must be removed in a sealed process before the carcass can be shredded for its metal. Under the waste electrical and electronic equipment regulations that work happens at an approved authorised treatment facility, and it is why a fridge cannot be crushed in a skip and why it carries its own price on our ladder.
We collect the fridge or fridge freezer from the kitchen, utility room or garage it sits in, carry it upright to the van and deliver it to the treatment facility. A domestic unit is £40 inc VAT and each additional fridge or freezer on the same visit is £36. American-style and commercial units are quoted by phone because of their size and weight.
No, not from a private collection, and any firm offering free fridge collection deserves a question about where the fridge goes. Degassing and recovery at an authorised facility has a cost, and a registered carrier pays it. Our price of £40 inc VAT covers the collection from inside your home and the correct treatment at the other end.
Free routes do exist and we mention them honestly. Retailers must offer like-for-like take-back when they deliver a new appliance, so ask at the point of sale. Council household waste recycling centres accept fridges from residents; at Briton Ferry a slot must be booked in advance and vans need a permit. If neither suits, because the fridge is upstairs, the car is too small or the timing is tight, we aim to collect within 48 hours of booking.
Other white goods travel as ordinary items: £40 for one or £50 for two inc VAT, collected from wherever they stand. The crew handles simple disconnections on the day, such as unplugging and pulling a machine clear of its housing, but anything plumbed in or connected to gas needs your plumber or gas engineer to disconnect it first.
Integrated appliances come out of their housings with a little dismantling, which is included. Microwaves, small kitchen appliances and TVs or monitors are added to any load at £10 each. As a registered waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales we take every appliance to a licensed facility where the steel and other metals are recovered, and a waste transfer note is available on request.
