Garages are priced by the volume they put on the van, not by the hour. A 2 yard load, about a 4x4 boot full, is £50; a 4 yard load is £80; a 6 yard load is £110. An average single garage declutter runs to a 10 yard load at £170, and a double garage packed to the door is usually a 12 yard load at £190. Every figure includes VAT.
Rubble and hardcore run dense, so if a garage holds building leftovers the crew advises the right load size before booking rather than after. Tyres travel at £6 each and TVs or monitors at £10, as listed on the pricing page. The office confirms the tier from a call or a couple of photos, and if the load comes in smaller than booked you pay the smaller price.
The same crew clears lock-up garages, workshops and outbuildings, with rented lock-ups often needing an empty unit by a fixed handover date. Tools, shelving, bikes, crates and scrap metal all go on one load, sorted on the drive as we go, and the floor is swept before the door closes.
Shed contents come out with the garage where they sit on the same property. Where the shed itself needs to come down and go, that is handled through our garden clearance service, which covers shed clearance and shed removal and prices the structure by the load it makes.
A skip suits a project that fills over a week or two and where you are happy to do the carrying yourself. A garage clearance suits the job you would rather have done in an afternoon: the crew carries, sorts and sweeps, and there is nothing on the drive afterwards. Skip hire is quoted to size and placement, and a skip on the public road needs a council permit, which Neath Port Talbot Council currently charges at £59 for 28 days.
Garages also tend to hold the things a skip cannot take: fridges, freezers, tyres, paint and upholstered furniture. On a collection each of those is either routed correctly or set aside with clear advice, so nothing is left behind because a skip firm refused it.
