Wood disposal and waste wood collection across Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea: fencing, decking, pallets, joists and offcuts collected and sent for processing. Clean timber is kept separate so as much as possible avoids landfill.
Clean and treated timber are sorted at loading so each travels to the right processor.
Painted and treated timber rides separately from clean wood for the right processing.

Fence panels and posts, decking boards and joists, pallets and crates, laminate flooring, MDF, kitchen carcasses and the offcuts that gather after any DIY project all travel on a wood collection. Old furniture made of solid timber or chipboard is welcome too, though anything upholstered is collected as seating and travels separately.
Treated and painted wood is as welcome as clean timber; the crew simply loads it apart so the processor receives each type correctly. Wood with asbestos sheeting attached is the one exclusion, because it needs a licensed asbestos contractor rather than a waste collection.
Clean, untreated timber is the most useful grade: it goes for processing into chip and board products or for reuse where the lengths allow. Treated, painted and composite wood is graded separately at a licensed facility, because the treatments limit what it can become. That is why the crew sorts the two at loading rather than mixing everything on the van.
There is no need to remove nails, screws or brackets before collection; the processors handle fixings. As a registered waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales we can provide a waste transfer note showing where the load went, which trade customers need for their records.
Timber is fine in a skip or a skip bag, and for a fencing or decking project spread over several weekends either can be the sensible choice. Our skip bags start at £65 inc VAT, sit on a driveway without a permit and are collected once full; skips are quoted to size and placement, with a council permit needed on the public road.
A collection makes more sense when the wood is already in a pile and you want it gone in one visit, or when it is mixed with other waste that a skip cannot take. Loads are priced on the same volume ladder either way, from £50 for a 2 yard load, so the office will simply recommend whichever route costs you least.
