A busy bar fills a glass bin faster than any other stream, and a full bin at the back door on a Saturday night is a hazard as well as a nuisance. We run glass collections for pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, clubs and cafes across Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea, timed early so the bins are empty before service.
Since 6 April 2024 the Workplace Recycling Regulations have required every business in Wales to keep glass separate from general waste and from other recyclables, and Natural Resources Wales enforces them. A dedicated glass round meets that duty without adding a job to the close-down routine.
Sturdy wheeled glass bins are supplied and sited where the bar work actually happens, with hire folded into the round price. Mixed colour collections are standard; colour separation is arranged only where a processor requires it. Rounds run up to weekly, with extra lifts around bank holidays and busy weekends by arrangement.
Collected glass goes for remelt into new containers rather than to landfill, and every collection comes with a waste transfer note for your records.
Broken bottles inside the bin are no problem; the crews handle them as standard and the bins are built for it. Keep window glass, mirrors, drinking glasses and crockery out of the bottle bin, though: they are different materials with different melting points, and they contaminate the remelt stream. Tell the office if you have a quantity of those and we will route them separately.
