A private bulky waste collection is booked in one call, with a slot you choose, and we aim to collect within 48 hours of booking. The crew comes into the house, flat, office or yard and carries the item out from where it sits; nothing has to be dragged to the kerb the night before and left in the rain.
Pricing is by item or by load, all inc VAT: a single item up to 50kg is £40, two items are £50, and volume loads start at £50 for 2 yards. Mattresses, fridges and upholstered seating carry their own listed prices because each has to travel a separate legal route: fridges to an approved authorised treatment facility, upholstered seating separately under the POPs rules, and mattresses collected separately.
The three councils we work across all run a bulky item service for residents, collected from the kerb on a date given at booking. They are good value for a few household items if you can wait for the date and get the items outside, and they exclude a great deal.
We collect what the council schemes do not: bagged rubbish, garden waste, sheds and fence panels, building waste, whole house and garage clearances, and anything from a landlord or a business. We also carry items out from inside, and we never claim to be the council or quote waiting times the councils do not publish.
Council bulky schemes are for residents only, so landlords, letting agents and housing associations in Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea are left with the sofa in the empty flat and the fridge on the landing after a tenant leaves. We collect them on the same item and load prices, from inside the property, with keys collected through the office and a waste transfer note for the file.
Fly-tipped items left outside a block or against a fence are cleared on the same basis: photograph, collect, document. Several properties on one round are quoted together so the price reflects the whole job.
