We provide man and van rubbish removal from £25 inc VAT, 4, 6 and 8 yard skip hire, skip bags and wheelie bins across Pyle, Kenfig Hill and Cornelly in the CF33 postcode, about 17 minutes down the M4 from our yard at Jersey Marine. Pyle sits at junction 37 of the M4, the Pyle Interchange, where the A4229 turns off for Porthcawl, and it is in Bridgend County Borough Council's area. Pyle, Kenfig Hill and North and South Cornelly run together as one built-up area, and we cover all of it, from Pyle Cross on the A48 and the streets around the station to the Marlas estate in North Cornelly, Kenfig and Mawdlam by the nature reserve, and Cefn Cribwr up the hill. A few CF33 addresses on the Margam side fall under Neath Port Talbot Council instead, and we will tell you which rules apply.

We hire three sizes in Pyle and Kenfig Hill. A 4 yard skip holds roughly 40 to 50 bin bags and suits a small clearance, a garden project or a tight drive. A 6 yard skip takes 60 to 70 bin bags and is our most hired size for bathroom and kitchen refits. An 8 yard skip holds 70 to 80 bin bags for bigger renovations, bulky waste and builders' work. Skips are quoted with delivery, collection and disposal included.
A skip on your own drive needs no permit, and the estate housing across CF33 mostly has room. A skip on the public road needs a permit from Bridgend County Borough Council, charged at about £42 per month, with £5 million public liability insurance and the skip guarded with 6 lamps and 3 cones. Applications go to the council's highways team at the Civic Offices in Bridgend. We advise on cost and timing when we confirm your hire.
On the older terraced streets around Pyle Cross and Pyle Road, where a skip would take a parking space for a month, a skip bag or a man and van collection is usually the simpler answer. Plasterboard must be kept separate from a mixed skip, sofas and armchairs travel by van, and fridges, tyres, paint and gas bottles are excluded.
Our load ladder is printed in full and every figure includes VAT. A single item such as a small sofa or appliance is £40, two items are £50, a mattress on its own is £25 and a fridge on its own is £40. Volume loads start at a 2 yard load for £50, about 20 bin bags, and rise through the 6 yard load at £110 to a 14 yard load at £220, which is a small house or flat clearance. If the load is smaller on the day, you pay the smaller figure.
Bridgend County Borough Council's bulky waste collection costs £36.12 for up to three items, with additional items at £6.78 each up to a maximum of 15, collected from the kerbside by the council's contractor, who confirms the date. It covers free-standing household items such as sofas, beds, mattresses, carpets and white goods, and it excludes garden waste, rubble, soil, bathroom suites, fitted kitchen units, boilers, radiators, fencing, sheds and garage doors.
That exclusion list is where our man with a van service starts. Two of us carry from inside the house, the garage or the garden, and a wardrobe, a bath, a run of fence panels and a heap of hedge cuttings can all go in one visit. A skip bag, sometimes called a Hippo bag (a trademark), is the right size for most CF33 jobs. Our small skip bag is £65 inc VAT and takes a small declutter or DIY project, roughly a single armchair in volume. The medium skip bag is £95 inc VAT and suits a small bathroom rip-out or a garage declutter. Both prices include delivery, collection and disposal, and no permit is needed because the bag sits on your own ground.
CF33 is estate-based, family housing for the most part, with a large share of social and affordable homes and a historic core of older streets around Pyle Cross. A bag fits on a front garden or a short drive on the Marlas estate, in a back lane behind the older terraces, or beside a garage, and you fill it at your own pace before we collect it with the van and lifting gear.
Bags follow the same exclusions as skips: keep plasterboard, upholstered seating, fridges, tyres and liquids out and ask us about those separately. If the job grows, we can swap the bag for a skip or send the van.
Bridgend County Borough Council collects residual waste in Pyle in blue bags rather than wheelie bins, with a limit of two bags per fortnight. Sorted recycling and food waste are collected weekly. Garden waste is an optional paid subscription running through the growing season, so cuttings outside that window or beyond the sacks supplied have nowhere to go on the kerb.
The council's recycling centre for this side of the county is Pyle Community Recycling Centre at 40b Sturmi Way, Village Farm Industrial Estate, CF33 6BZ, which replaced the old Tythegston site. A reuse shop run with Groundwork Wales is on the same site. Commercial-sized vehicles and trailers need a tipping permit, and the site is closed on one weekday, so check the council website for the current opening days before you set off. Bridgend's other centres are Maesteg on Heol Ty Gwyn Industrial Estate and Brynmenyn.
A tip run works for a boot load. It stops working when you have no suitable vehicle, when the load is heavy or when the site is shut that day. A collection from a registered waste carrier takes care of the lifting, the driving and the duty of care, and keeps waste off the dune tracks around Kenfig, where fly-tipping is a real problem.
Village Farm Industrial Estate, spread across Heol Mostyn, Sturmi Way and Village Farm Road about a mile north of junction 37, is the commercial heart of CF33, and the council is adding new small business units there. We supply 240, 660 and 1100 litre wheelie bins with weekly, fortnightly or monthly collections, clear one-off loads of cardboard, pallets and packaging, and empty units at the end of a lease.
Pyle Garden Village on Heol Mostyn, the shops by Asda and the station, and the cafes and takeaways along the A48 produce cardboard, glass and food waste with limited storage space. We time collections around trading hours and keep each stop short. Shop refits and strip-outs are quoted as a single job with the fixtures and the back-room contents taken together.
Businesses in Wales must now separate paper and card, glass, metal, plastic and cartons, and food waste for collection. We can set up a bin for each stream and provide the waste transfer notes your duty of care records require.
Pyle is about to grow. The council's replacement development plan allocates Land East of Pyle for around 2,000 homes with two primary schools and a new local centre, phased over the coming years. Valleys to Coast is building new homes on the former railway land at Croft Goch Road in Kenfig Hill, and smaller schemes are proposed at Marlas in North Cornelly. New estates mean snagging clear-outs, packaging and garden landscaping waste for years after the builders leave.
The older stock is being renovated too. Kitchen and bathroom rip-outs, which the council's bulky service excludes, fill a 6 yard skip or a couple of van loads. Loft conversions and extensions produce rubble, timber and plasterboard, and plasterboard goes in its own skip or bag so it can be disposed of correctly.

Pyle is about 11.6 miles and around 17 minutes from our yard at Jersey Marine, which sits beside junction 42 of the M4, so the run is motorway almost door to door. Kenfig Hill is about 20 minutes.
